Hawaiʻi County announces Science Night at Keaʻau Armory

Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation invites the community to Science Night from 5 to 7 p.m. July 30 at Kea‘au Armory.

The free event will feature activities related to science, technology, engineering and math as well as hands-on experiments, space and astronomy exploration, opportunities to connect with local science, technology, engineering and math organizations; and fun learning experiences for the whole family.

Science Night is a collaboration between the county, Starbase Hawai‘i and Hawai‘i Science and Technology Museum.

Many community partners will lead activities, including Gemini Observatory, Subaru Telescope, U.S. Army National Guard, Big Island Amateur Radio Club, University of Hawai‘i Institute for Astronomy, Hawaiian Volcano Education & Resilience Institute and Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems.

Kea‘au Armory is located at 16-512 Volcano Road in Kea‘au.
