Queen’s North Hawaiʻi Community Hospital is starting a stroke support group to help stroke survivors and their caregivers navigate recovery with connection and expert guidance.

Recovering from a stroke is not just a medical journey — it’s an emotional and social one. This support group ensures survivors and caregivers never feel alone as they rebuild strength and independence.

Facilitated by Amy Shipley, a speech and language pathologist from the Rehabilitation Services Department, the meetings will include open discussions, education, practical tools for managing life after a stroke, and guest speakers.

The first meeting will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, in the Mauna Kea-Mauna Loa conference room at Queen’s North Hawaiʻi Community Hospital in Waimea.

Sessions are free and open to the public; no sign-up is required. For questions, call 808-881-4814, or email AShipley@queens.org.
