Multi-agency search warrant leads to recovery of nearly 5 ounces cocaine, 1.1 ounce meth, loaded gun, more
A 45-year-old Kailua-Kona man faces a litany of drug and firearm charges after the execution of a multi-agency search warrant on a parked vehicle in Kona.

Luis Pagano Colon was charged Friday, April 24, with:
- Three counts of first-degree promoting a dangerous drug.
- First-degree promoting a detrimental drug.
- Second-degree commercial promotion of marijuana.
- Ownership or possession prohibited.
- Two counts of possession of prohibited weapons.
- Place to keep ammunition.
- Place to keep a pistol or revolver.
- Loaded firearm on a public highway.
- Firearm in the commission of a felony drug offense.
His total bail was set at $288,000.
Hawai‘i Police Department Vice West officers, in coordination with U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Homeland Security Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, executed the search warrant Wednesday, April 22, on the vehicle parked at a business on Ali‘i Drive in Kailua-Kona.
Colon was arrested after police searched the vehicle and recovered:
- 133.07 grams — nearly 5 ounces — of cocaine.
- 31.48 grams — 1.1 ounces — of methamphetamine.
- Firearm with a magazine containing 13 live rounds.
- Shotgun shells located in the trunk.
Further investigation at a related residence led to police recovering:
- More than $2,700 in cash.
- 1,740 grams — nearly 4 pounds — of marijuana.
- Numerous additional live rounds of ammunition.
