A 32-year-old Kailua-Kona man faces several charges, including terroristic threatening, after allegedly threatening someone in the parking lot of a Kona shopping center and while being arrested tried to take an officer’s firearm and threatened his life.

- First-degree attempted theft (theft of a firearm).
- Resisting arrest.
Lindquist made his initial appearance Friday morning, March 20, in Kona District Court. His bail was maintained at $93,000 and he was ordered to appear again Monday, March 23, for a preliminary hearing.

Hawai‘i Police Department reports Lindquist was arrested and charged following a March 18 incident. He allegedly brandished what later was determined to be a .22-caliber pellet gun and threatening another person in the parking lot at Keauhou Shopping Center in Keauhou.
Kona Patrol officers located him a short time later and he was arrested, during which Lindquist reportedly tried to take an officer’s firearm and threatened the officer’s life.
