UPDATE: Police report both lanes open on Hualālai Road in Kona after temporary closure

Update at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026: Hawai‘i Police Department advises the public that both lanes are open on Hualālai Road between Aloha Kona Drive and Kuakini Highway in Kona.
That portion of the roadway was previously closed because of a traffic crash.

That section of the roadway will be closed for at least the next 2 hours.
