Two arrested in Ocean View in connection with ongoing investigation

Hawaiʻi Island police have arrested two individuals previously sought in connection with an ongoing investigation in the Kaʻū district, according to the press release.
Officers with the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Vice Division arrested 41-year-old Robert James Teinauri Carman and 34-year-old Kira Lazar, both of Ocean View, on March 2 on Outrigger Drive in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision.
The arrests were made after officers acted on verified information regarding the pair’s location. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and remain in police custody pending further investigation.
Carman and Lazar had been the subject of two earlier police media releases seeking the public’s assistance in locating them. At the time, investigators considered both individuals armed and dangerous.
Two other people previously identified in connection with the investigation, 51-year-old John Thomas Broadfoot Jr. and 35-year-old Nicole Arsenault, were arrested in the Kaʻū district on the morning of Feb. 19.
Police said Broadfoot and Arsenault were later released after posting bail.
The Hawaiʻi Police Department thanked the public for its assistance and cooperation during the investigation.
