Update 10:10 a.m. Feb. 18: Hawai‘i Island police report that 15-year-old Sophia Nihipali-Moniz, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in Hilo on Feb. 14.

Original post: Sophia Nihipali-Moniz was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 29, at about 4:18 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 130 and Highway 132 in Puna, police said.

Nihipali-Moniz is described as Hawaiian and Filipino, with a medium-brown complexion. She is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 119 pounds, and has medium-length black hair and brown eyes.
