Big Island trio charged with drug, firearm offenses granted supervised release

A man, his girlfriend and his 20-year-old son were granted supervised release by a Kona District Court judge after the trio was charged with a myriad of firearm and drug offenses.

Charges stem from a search warrant executed on a home in Ocean View on Feb. 5 by Hawai‘i Police Department’s Area II Vice section. Detectives had been investigating William Moore, Deandre Moore and Camille Aldorasi for drug activity.

Detectives arrived at the residence on the 92-8700 block of Palm Parkway. William Moore, 51, along with his 20-year-old son Deandre and Aldorasi, also 51, were home at the time the search warrant was executed.

Through the course of the search, officers recovered approximately 16.68 grams of methamphetamine, 320.8 grams of marijuana concentrate, 113.8 grams of marijuana, and 0.5 grams of heroin. Officers also recovered a loaded Springfield Armory XD9 pistol and a loaded Marlin Model 60 .22-caliber rifle from inside the residence.

William Moore was charged with the following firearm and drug offenses:

  • Four counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug
  • Three counts of third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug
  • Third-degree promotion of a harmful drug
  • Second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug
  • First-degree promotion of a harmful drug
  • Three counts ownership or possession prohibited
  • Two counts permit to acquire firearm
  • Ownership of automatic firearm prohibited

Moore’s bail was set $418,000. However, during his initial appearance before Judge Kimberly Tsuchiya on Feb. 10, the 51-year-old was granted supervised release. He is ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 20.

Camille Aldorasi was charged with the following drug offenses:

  • Four counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug
  • Two counts of third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug
  • Third-degree promotion of a harmful drug
  • Second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug
  • First-degree promotion of a harmful drug

Aldorasi’s bail was set at $85,300. However, Tsuchiya also granted the 51-year-old supervised release during the 51-year-old’s initial hearing on Feb. 10, where the prosecuting attorney did not object. Aldorasi is ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 20.

Deandre Moore was charged with firearms offenses:

  • Ownership of automatic firearm prohibited
  • Three counts of ownership or possession prohibited
  • Two counts of permit to acquire firearm

He was also charged with failing to register a firearm within five days.

Deandre Moore’s bail was set at $24,000. During the 20-year-old’s initial appearance on Feb. 10, Tsuchiya reduced his bail to $1,000.

Deandre Moore appeared in court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing, however, according to court minutes, the county prosecuting attorney requested a continuance as they weren’t ready to proceed, as their witnesses in the investigation were unavailable.

Tsuchiya granted the continuance and released the 20-year-old on his own recognizance. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 24.
