Police congratulate participants of 4th annual HI-PAL Tee Ball/Coach Pitch Baseball Tournament

Hawaiʻi Police Activities League, or HI-PAL, in partnership with Mynah Byrdz Baseball Club, congratulates all participants of the fourth annual HI-PAL Tee Ball/Coach Pitch Baseball Tournament.

More than 250 players — ages 4 to 8 years old, representing 21 teams — along with 1,000 spectators attended the event Jan. 24-25 at Hualani Baseball Park in the Keaukaha community in Hilo.

Participants practiced fundamental baseball skills throughout the weekend in an environment that emphasized teamwork, confidence and sportsmanship.

Hawaiʻi Police Department Community Policing officers were also available providing free Keiki ID services and opportunities for positive interaction with keiki and their families.

Hawaiʻi Police Department extends special thanks to Officer Jared Cabatu, his team and the many volunteers, whose dedication and support contributed to the event’s success.

The partnership between Hawaiʻi Police Activities League and Mynah Byrdz Baseball Club continues to grow, and Hawaiʻi Police Department looks forward to continued collaboration.

Hawaiʻi Police Activities League — a component of Hawaiʻi Police Department — focuses on building positive relationships between police officers and youth through mentorship, teamwork, citizenship and healthy decision-making.
