Apply now: Project Hoʻomana cohort application deadline nears

If you’ve been considering applying for the upcoming Project Hoʻomana cohort — or meant to, but haven’t yet — now is the time to apply.

Deadline to submit an application is Wednesday (Jan. 28).

Project Hoʻomana is a 3-month business development program from February through April designed to support Native Hawaiian micro and small business owners with tools, guidance and mentorship focused on branding, marketing and business growth.

The program includes expert-led instruction from Shidler College of Business at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a comprehensive curriculum delivered through structured, in-person sessions.

Why join Project Hoʻomana?

• Expert-led instruction: Learn from esteemed professors at Shidler College of Business.
• Comprehensive curriculum: Enhance your brand identity, develop effective marketing strategies and refine your business plan.
• Flexible scheduling: Engage in person and collaborate with fellow entrepreneurs. Sessions are from noon to 2 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, totaling 18 sessions — or 36 hours — throughout the 3 months.
• Prestigious recognition: Upon completing the program, participants will receive a certificate from Shidler College of Business, a prestigious recognition that adds credibility and value to their entrepreneurial journey.
• Exclusive opportunities: Graduates will have an opportunity to be invited to present for a Mālama Loan.

The cohort’s size is limited to 25 Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs, so don’t wait to apply. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Cost to participate is $50 for Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce members, who receive a $50 rebate upon completion of the program, or $150 for non-members, which includes a 1-year individual chamber membership.

Non-members also receive a $75 rebate upon completion of the program.
