Hilo drivers urged to avoid Route 19 near Paukaa Drive after crash

Hawaiʻi police are advising drivers to avoid Route 19 near Lali Place to Paukaa Drive in south Hilo following a traffic accident.
Officials said the roadway is expected to remain closed for approximately three hours while authorities respond and clear the scene.
Motorists were urged to use alternate routes until the closure is lifted.
