About 60 volunteers took part in the cleanup along Keala O Keawe Road, collecting about 15 bags of trash that resulted in a noticeable improvement to the area.

Participants gathered at Hōnaunau Rodeo Arena following the cleanup for a community Fun Day celebration that included live entertainment, raffle prizes and a light lunch.

The event provided an opportunity for community members, families and officers to connect and celebrate their shared efforts, highlighting the strong partnership between Kona Community Policing officers and the community they serve.
