Ernie Els leads field at PGA Tour Champions’ 30th anniversary tournament at Hualālai

Defending champion Ernie Els, a World Golf Hall of Famer, will lead the field at the upcoming 30th anniversary of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualālai on the Big Island.

The PGA TOUR Champions three-day tournament runs Jan. 22-24.

“Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time to reserve their spot and watch legends of the game walk the fairways of Hualalai,” Tournament Manager Kelly Fliear said.

The field also will include five other World Golf Hall of Fame members: three-time champion Bernhard Langer, four-time runner-up Fred Couples, Retief Goosen, Davis Love III and Vijay Singh.

Stewart Cink, the reigning Charles Schwab Cup winner, will make his third appearance at Hualālai, while 2024 champion Steven Alker and 2023 winner Steve Stricker are also scheduled to compete.

Also in the 42-player field are three-time tournament winner Miguel Ángel Jiménez and other major champions, including David Duval, Jim Furyk, Justin Leonard, Mike Weir and 2021 champion Darren Clarke.

Daily tickets are $35, with a three-round pass available for $70.

Children 18 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Gates open at 9 a.m., with free spectator shuttles circulating from parking areas to the centrally located Spectator Village, which offers concessions, restrooms, seating, food trucks and a live leaderboard near multiple holes.

All three rounds of the 2026 Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualālai also will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel.
