Update, Sept. 4, 7:44 p.m. | Authorities have located Gerald Boiani.

Boiani was found in Pāhoa and is reported to be in good health, according to the press release.

Authorities thank the public for their help in this case.

Original Post | Police are searching for Gerald Boiani, 74, who is missing and considered endangered, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department.

Boiani is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was seen on July 1 and was last known to live in the Kalapana Pahoa area.

He is considered endangered due to his age.
