Hawai‘i County and its community partners are hosting several free Easter events this year around the Big Island that will include egg hunts, games and more in celebration of the season.
So mark your calendars and be sure to hop on over with the family to each of the egg-cellent and egg-citing fun days — that even the Easter Bunny himself would want to stop his egg-hiding preparations to attend — planned in Hilo, Kea‘au and Pāhala.
Kea‘au Family Fun Day
DATE: April 13
TIME: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
LOCATION: Herbert Shipman Park, 16-510 Old Volcano Road, Kea‘au
ACTIVITIES: Egg hunt, waterslides, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, live music and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Easter Extravaganza
DATE: April 18
TIME: Gates open 9 a.m.
LOCATION: Dr. Francis F.C. Wong Stadium, 699 Pi‘ilani St., Hilo
MORE INFO: Egg hunt is for keiki ages 5 to 12 years old. Times are 11 a.m. for ages 5 to 6, 11:30 a.m. for ages 7 to 9 and noon for ages 10 to 12. No baskets needed; bags will be provided. Parents and guardians are not allowed on the field.
Easter Family Fun Day
DATE: April 18
TIME: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
LOCATION: Pāhala Community Center, 96-3159 Maile St., Pāhala
