Road closure schedule in Kona to replace utility pole

A portion of Walua Road in Kona will be closed Tuesday while Hawaiian Electric crews replace a utility pole.

The road will be closed between Akoni Drive and Ainanani Street, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to drive with caution if approaching the work zone. Flagmen will be onsite to assist motorists and pedestrians while the work is being performed.
