Big Island high school graduation schedule announced for class of 2025

Hawai‘i Department of Education on Thursday announced the schedule for upcoming graduation ceremonies for the class of 2025 at public high schools throughout the state.

“High school graduations are a special tradition in Hawai‘i, bringing together families, schools and entire communities to celebrate the achievements of our students,” said state Superintendent of Schools Keith Hayashi in the department’s announcement.

Each individual school will provide future grads, their families and their communities with their specific event details.

“The class of 2025 has shown focus, talent and drive,” Hayashi said. “We’re proud of all our graduates as they take the next step in their journey, embodying our commitment to ensure they are globally competitive and locally committed.”

GRADUATION 2025 SCHEDULE

MAY 22

• Keaʻau High School: 4 p.m., Keaʻau High School Stadium, 16-725 Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road, Keaʻau.

MAY 23

• Ke Kula ʻo ʻEhunuikaimalino: Noon, Konawaena High School Julian Yates Football Field, 81-1043 Konawaena School Road, Kealakekua.
• Kaʻū High & Pāhala Elementary School: 5 p.m., Robert N. Herkes Kaʻū District Gymnasium and Shelter, 96-1219 Kamani St., Pāhala.
• Hilo High School: 6:30 p.m., Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium, 350 Kalanikoa St., Hilo.

MAY 24

• Honokaʻa High & Intermediate School: 9 a.m., Honoka‘a High & Intermediate School Gymnasium (The Armory), 45-527 Pakalana St., Honokaʻa.
• Konawaena High School: 9 a.m., Konawaena High School Julian Yates Football Field, 81-1043 Konawaena School Road, Kealakekua.
• Kohala High School: 2 p.m., Isao Hisaoka Gymnasium (Kamehameha Park), 54-382 Kamehameha Park Road, Kapa‘au.
• Waiākea High School: 5 p.m., Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium, 350 Kalanikoa St., Hilo.

MAY 25

• Pāhoa High & Intermediate School: 1 p.m., Pāhoa High & Intermediate School Helene H. Hale Gymnasium, 15-3038 Pāhoa Village Road, Pāhoa.

MAY 31

• Kealakehe High School: 4:30 p.m., Kealakehe High School Waveriders Stadium, 74-5000 Puohulihuli St., Kealakehe.
