The County of Hawai‘i Department of Water Supply announced an emergency water shutoff scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday morning in the Kamuela View Estates in Waimea.

The water will be temporarily turned off for an emergency valve replacement and will effect services along Mahua Street, ʻOhina Street and Puahia Street, including all side roads and lanes.

Affected customers should set aside drinking water ahead of time to meet their household’s water needs during the temporary service interruption.

The Department of Water Supply will station a water tanker for the public’s use at the intersection of ‘Ohina Street and Mahua Street.
