Have you seen a man lurking around Hawaiian Beaches in a camo jacket and White Sox baseball cap? Heard about someone taking something they shouldn’t have — twice — from a home where they don’t belong?

Hawai‘i Island police are looking for a person of interest who seems to be a repeat offender when it comes to helping himself to items at a home in the Puna subdivision.

Police are asking if anyone can help ID the man, who struck again in October.

The unidentified man was seen on video surveillance Oct. 23 walking around the private residence on Limu Street in Hawaiian Beaches.

It was later learned that an item was discovered missing from the area where the man was seen. The same man is a person of interest in a burglary that happened about a month before at the same residence.

The man is described as possibly being in his 30s with a thin build, tan complexion and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage hooded jacket.

Anyone who recognizes the man is encouraged to call Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Detective Zenas Pacheco at 808-961-2289 or via email at Zenas.Pacheco@hawaiicounty.gov.
