Big Island weekly lane closures: Nov. 2-8
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Nov. 2-8.
In observance of Election Day, there will be no contraflow and no work on State Highways unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —
HILO (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 3 to 5, in the vicinity of East Palai Street, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
NĀ‘ĀLEHU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 56 to 58, on Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
NĀ‘ĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 58 to 60, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
HŌNAUNAU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 93 to 95, in the vicinity of Ohia Malu Road and Kukui O pae Place, on Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
HŌNAUNAU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 97.2 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and the Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for safety upgrades to the roadway.

HILO TO PAPA‘IKOU
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 4 to 6, in the vicinity of Kukai Place, on Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
HILO (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 3 to 5, in the vicinity of Kahoa Place, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for removal of deposits at bridge.
LAUPAHOEHOE
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 22.79 to 222.82 in the vicinity of Koi Loop, on Nov. 7 through Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for bridge maintenance.
PAPA‘ALOA TO LAUPAHOEHOE (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 24 to 26 in the vicinity of Papa‘a Loa Avenue, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
PA‘AUILO (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 35 to 36 in the vicinity of Antone De Luz Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between milepost 5.8 to 6 on Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for DWS installation of a waterline.
— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) —
WAIĀKEA
Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 8 to 12, in the vicinity of Akoni Pule Highway, on Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Friday Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for moving of concrete barriers.
— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between milepost 16 to 19, in the vicinity of Akoni Pule Highway, on Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between milepost 16 to 19.2, in the vicinity of Hawī Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —
HILO
Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway and doing shoulder work as part of the Puainako Street improvements Project.
– PARADISE DRIVE –
HAWAIIAN PARADISE PARK
No outgoing traffic from Paradise Drive onto Highway 130 on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. as crews install a speed hump on Paradise Drive. Motorists will be allowed into HPP using Paradise Drive but will be detoured to 32nd Ave. or 31st Ave. to head Pahoa-bound.
