The summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island are under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Monday as deep moisture moving over the state brings the potential for snow, which could be heavy at times, through tonight.

The National Weather Service forecast office in Honolulu says periods of snow, low visibility and slick roads with snow accumulations of up to 6 inches are possible.

The public is advised that travel at the summits could become very difficult.
