Police renew request for help locating 3 runaways, each missing more than 30 days

Big Island police are again asking the public if they have seen or know the whereabouts of any of the following 3 teens who were reported as runaways, each who have been missing more than 30 days.

One of them hasn’t been seen since late May.

The runaways are:

  • 17-year-old Mary Costner, who was last seen May 20 on foot near Maku‘u Drive and 8th Avenue in Pāhoa. She is 5-foot-2, 170 pounds, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes.
  • 17-year-old Hunter Mercier, who is known to frequent the lower Puna area, was reported as a runaway Aug. 6. He is 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, with a slim build, light brown hair and brown eyes.
  • 17-year-old Damon Weber, who was last seen Aug. 14 near Makaleka Road in Kaʻū and known to frequent the Puna and Kaʻū areas. He is described as 5-foot-11, 150 pounds, with a dark complexion, thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.
