An electric bicycle went mysteriously vanished last week in Waikōloa after a couple seen nearby left the area.

Big Island police are now investigating the bike’s disappearance as a theft and asking if anyone can identify the man and woman, who were captured in video surveillance footage and suspected of walking away with the two-wheeler.

The incident happened at about 11:45 a.m. Sept. 26 at a resort on Waikōloa Beach Drive.

The man is Caucasian and was last seen wearing light-colored pants, no shirt, dark shoes and possibly carrying a shirt.
