Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Sept. 14-20.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

KURTISTOWN TO MOUNTAIN VIEW (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 9 to 13, in the vicinity of North Road and Enos Road, on Sept. 16 through Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 53 to 56, in the vicinity of Ninole Loop Road, on Sept. 16 through Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 2 to 4, in the vicinity of Mo‘oheau Park and Wainaku Street, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 6 to 11, in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway, on Sept. 16, through Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PAPA‘IKOU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 7 to 7.5, in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for tree trimming along highway shoulder.

KAILUA-KONA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 190) possible in either direction, between mile post 28 to 31, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 18 to 22, on Sept. 16 through Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

PA‘AUILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction, between mile post 34 to 36, in the vicinity of Lightning Trail and Saddle Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for culvert inlet and outlet cleaning and clearing.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 6.2 to 10.6, on Sept. 16 through Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for application of permanent striping as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAMUELA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mile post 1 to 4, in the vicinity of Kawaihae-Mahukona Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HAWĪ (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mile post 10 to 15, in the vicinity of Mahukona Park Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work and tree trimming.
