Update: Kona teen previously reported as runaway located in good health

Update at 8:22 a.m. Sept. 23: Hawai‘i Island police report that 16-year-old Taimane Muasau Wong, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located Sept. 19 in good health in Captain Cook.

Original post at 10:06 a.m. Sept. 10: Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old girl who was reported as a runaway.

Taimane Muasau Wong, a Kona resident, was last seen on Aug. 31 at noon in Captain Cook.

She is Hawaiian with a tan complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 100 pounds, with long curly black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
