Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Aug. 17-23.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE /MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 4 to 6.5, in the vicinity of Lama Street and Old Volcano Road, on Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 4 to 7, in the vicinity of Lama Street and Old Volcano Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between milepost 31 to 35, beginning Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

PĀHALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between milepost 47 to 49, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between milepost 97 to 104, in the vicinity of Haleili Street and Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for crews to work on safety improvements on the roadway.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD/ QUEEN KA‘AHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

HAKALAU TO NINOLE (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between milepost 15 to 20, in the vicinity of Chin Chuck Road on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between milepost 18 to 24, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

KEA‘AU (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between milepost 3.9 to 4.3, in the vicinity of 29th Street, on Monday, Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 23, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. for preparing the intersection of Shower Drive for restriping.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

KAILUA-KONA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between milepost 27 to 29, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Kealakehe Parkway (Route 197) possible in either direction between milepost 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving of new bike lane and signage installations.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) —

HILO

Alternating single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 10.29 to 12.29, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to apply new striping and raised pavement markers.

HILO

Alternating single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 17.3 to 20.8, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to apply new striping and raised pavement markers.

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 18 to 22, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 18 to 22 on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— AKAKA FALLS ROAD (ROUTE 220) —

HONOMŪ

Single lane closure on Akaka Falls Road (Route 220) possible in either direction, between milepost 3.5 to 3.7, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. where crews will be transitioning a residential roadway into State Highway 220.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between milepost 6.2 to 10.6, on Aug. 19 through Aug. 23, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for application of permanent striping as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Aug. 19 through the morning of Aug. 23, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving the roadway as part of the Puainako Street Widening Project.
