Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Aug. 10-16.

There will be no lane closures or contraflow operations on Aug. 16 in observance of Statehood Day, unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE /MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 4 to 7, in the vicinity of Lama Street and Old Volcano Road, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

KEA‘AU TO KURTISTOWN (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road and North Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PAHALA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 47 to 49, beginning Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 51 to 54, on Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

PAPA‘IKOU TO HONOMU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 6 to 13, in the vicinity of Old Mamalahoa Highway, on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting with rear and side units.

HAKALAU TO NINOLE

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 15 to 20, in the vicinity of Chin Chuck Road, beginning Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 94.4 to 95.2, in the vicinity of Kohanaiki Golf and Ocean Club, on Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for surveying for future projects.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 27 to 29, beginning Monday, Aug. 12 through Thursday, Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

KALAOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 31 to 33, in the vicinity of Makalei Golf Club and Old Government Mauka Road, on Saturday Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

KAILUA KONA

Single lane closure on Kealakehe Parkway (Route 197) possible in either direction between mile post 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving of new bike lane and signage installations.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) —

HILO

Alternating single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 10.29 to 12.29, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to apply new striping and raised pavement markers.

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/ Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 17 to 22, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for vegetation removal from shoulder.

Alternating single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 17.3 to 20.8, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to apply new striping and raised pavement markers.

HILO

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 18 to 22, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— AKAKA FALLS ROAD (ROUTE 220) —

HONOMŪ

Single lane closure on Akaka Falls Road (Route 220) possible in either direction, between mile post 3.5 to 3.7, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. where crews will be transitioning a residential roadway into State Highway 220.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 6.2 to 10.6, on Aug. 12 through Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for application of permanent striping as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAPA‘AU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mile post 14 to 19, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Park Road and Ilina Road, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting with side and rear units.

— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street from Aug. 12 through Aug. 16, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving the roadway as part of the Puainako Street Widening Project.
