Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for July 28 to Aug. 2. All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 1 to 3, in the vicinity of East Lanikaula Street and East Palai Street, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Alternating single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in the southbound direction, between mile post 5.19 to 5.39, in the vicinity of Ikaika Street, beginning July 29, through Aug. 2 from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for crews to upgrade the Traffic Data Collection Device.

PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 51 to 52, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

KEALAKEKUA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 110 to 112, in the vicinity of Napo‘opo‘o Road and Puu Pueo Road, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 2 to 3, in the vicinity of Bayfront Highway, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for storm ditch and spillway cleaning and clearing.

HILO TO PAPA‘IKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 3 to 6, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Kealakehe Parkway (Route 197) possible in either direction between mile post 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving of new bike lane and signage installations.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY/SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/ Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 17 to 22, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 6.2 to 10.6, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for application of permanent striping as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

HAWĪ

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 17 to 18, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mile post 2 to 5, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for tree trimming and shoulder work.

KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mile post 13 to 15, in the vicinity of Mahukona Park Road, on July 29, through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street from July 29 through Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.
