3:23 p.m. Friday update: Carmella French, 16, who was previously reported as an endangered runaway, was located in Kailua-Kona on Friday in good health.

Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 16-year-old girl who is considered endangered.

Carmella French was reported as a runaway. She was last seen on the 75-5600 block of Ali‘i Drive in Kailua-Kona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. She was last seen wearing a black Calvin Klein shirt, green shorts, and white shoes.

Carmella is considered endangered because of a medical condition. The teen is 5 feet 4 inches, 230 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.

Police ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311, or Ka‘ū Patrol Officer Melissa D’angelo at 808-939-2520.
