Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for July 20-26.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between milepost 2 to 5, in the vicinity of Puainako Street and Ikaika Street, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Alternating single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in the southbound direction, between milepost 5.19 to 5.39, in the vicinity of Ikaika Street, beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26 from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for crews to upgrade the Traffic Data Collection Device.

PĀHALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between milepost 51 to 53, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

KEALAKEKUA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between milepost 111 to 112, in the vicinity of Konawaena School Road and Pu‘u Pueo Road, on Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for culvert work and shoulder restoration.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between milepost 13 to 14, in the vicinity of Kolekole Beach Park, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for grass and vegetation cutting.

NINOLE TO PAPA‘ALOA

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between milepost 16 to 21, in the vicinity of Kolekole Beach Park, on Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting with side and rear units.

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between milepost 3 to 5, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

WAIKŌLOA TO KAILUA-KONA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between milepost 16 to 21, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

KAILUA-KONA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between milepost 32 to 38, in the vicinity of Makalei Drive, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and tree trimming.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Kealakehe (Route 197) possible in either direction between milepost 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for layout of shared use path striping and signs.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY/ SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200) —

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 12 to 16, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between milepost 17 to 22, on Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between milepost 6.2 to 10.6, on Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for application of permanent striping as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAPA‘AU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between milepost 7 to 15, on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ohuohu Street and Kuhilani Street, Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Saturday, July 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.

HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, Monday, July 22 through the morning of Friday, July 26, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.
