Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces weekly lane closures for July 13-19. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here.

— KANEOHELEHUA AVENUE/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Kaneohelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 2 to 5, in the vicinity of Pu‘ainakō Street and Ikaika Street, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mileposts 51 to 53, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mileposts 53 to 55, on July 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mileposts 13 to 14, in the vicinity of Kolekole Beach Park, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mileposts 3 to 5, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mileposts 16 to 21, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mileposts 32 to 38, in the vicinity of Makalei Drive, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and tree trimming.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

Single lane closure on Kealakehe (Route 197) possible in either direction between mileposts 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the layout of shared use path striping and signs.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY/SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200) —

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mileposts 10 to 14, on July 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mileposts 12 to 16, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work and vegetation cutting.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mileposts 6.2 to 10.6, on July 15 through July 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for over-banding in designated areas as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction, between mileposts 7 to 15, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— PU‘AINAKŌ STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Pu‘ainakō Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, July 15 and July 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.

HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Pu‘ainakō Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, July 17 through the morning of July 19, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.
