Big Island voters will have another opportunity this week to hear from candidates running for Hawai‘i County mayor in the 2024 primary elections on Aug. 10.

The “Hawai‘i County Mayoral Forum, Primaries Edition” is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight. The live broadcast will feature mayoral candidates Kimo Alameda, Breeani Kobayashi, incumbent Mitch Roth and Jr. Tupa‘i.

The forum is sponsored by the Hawai‘i Island Chamber of Commerce, Hawai‘i island Contractors Association, Hawai‘i Island REALTORS, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association, Kohala Coast Resort Association, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Nā Leo TV, New West Broadcasting, Vibrant Hawai‘i and West Hawai‘i Association of REALTORS.

Candidates were invited to participate in a podcast episode to share their visions and platforms for mayor. The podcasts can be viewed online.

The goal of the podcasts and forum is to provide insights into each of candidat so voters can make informed decisions ahead of Election Day.
