Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for June 22-28.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here.

—MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY/HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 11) —

PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 53 to 56, in the vicinity of Ninole Loop Road, Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 61 to 65, in the vicinity of Ka‘alualu Road, on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 87 to 90, in the vicinity of Ohana Road, Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass and vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 97 to 104, in the vicinity of Haleili Street and Filipino Clubhouse Road, Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for crews to work on safety improvements on the roadway.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 2 to 4, in the vicinity of Mo‘oheau Park, on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for grass and vegetation cutting.

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 2 to 5, in the vicinity of Mo‘oheau Park and Kahoa Place, on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass and vegetation cutting.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD/PĀHOA-BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Bypass Road (Route 130) possible in either direction, between mile post 10 to 13, beginning Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

PĀHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Bypass Road (Route 130) possible in either direction, between mile post 10 to 15, in the vicinity of Alaili Road, on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

WAIKŌLOA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 12 to 16, on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— KEALAKEHE PARKWAY (ROUTE 197) —

KAILUA KONA

Single lane closure on Kealakehe (Route 197) possible in either direction between mile post 0.17 to 0.40, in the vicinity of Kamanu Street, on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for lay out of shared use path striping and signs.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY/ SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/ Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 10 to 12, on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Daniel K. Inouye Highway/ Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile post 12 to 22, on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for shoulder work and mechanical mowing.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 6.2 to 10.6, on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for over-banding in designated areas as part of the Kohala Mountain Road Resurfacing project.

KAPA‘AU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 9 to 13, on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

— PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, nightly from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway for the Puainako Street Widening Project.
