Hawai‘i Island police seek public help finding teen

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance locating 17-year-old Shaicen Lewis-Benevides who was reported as a runaway.

Lewis-Benevides was last seen on Railroad Avenue Road in Hilo on Monday at 7:45 p.m. and was last wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a camouflage backpack.

He is a local teen with a slim build, light complexion about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on Lewis-Benevides’s whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
