Original post: The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high wind warning for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island.
The warning is in effect until 6 p.m. today.
Southwest winds of 50 to 60 mph are forecast atop the mountains, with localized gusts of about 70 mph.
