Hawai‘i Island fifth graders are invited to participate in the 36th annual poster contest at KTA Super Stores.

From March 1 through April 14, keiki can submit a hand-drawn graphic illustration that visualizes the theme of “How Do You Shop Safely?” at any KTA Super Stores customer service center. Posters should be standard size (8.5 inches by 11 inches) and include the student’s name, school and teacher on the back.

Entries will be judged on creativity, artistic value, originality and how well the message of safety is displayed on the poster. Spelling and grammar will also be considered.

“It’s a wonderful way for our local community to celebrate our keiki’s creativity while also promoting the message of safe shopping,” said Toby Taniguchi, president of KTA Super Stores. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s talented artwork.”
