Big Island police seek help finding brother and sister runaways

Big Island police are asking the public for help with finding 11-year-old Shaiyah Kalahiki and her 15-year-old brother Shanden Kalahiki, who were reported as runaways.

Shaiyah is considered a missing endangered child due to her age. The siblings were last seen at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on Kūhiō Drive in ʻĀinaloa in Puna.

Shaiyah was wearing a black long sleeve T-shirt with white sleeves, back shorts and black Crocs footwear. Shanden was wearing a gray sweat shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Shaiyah is 5-foot-4, 110 pounds, with a tan complexion, black hair and brown eyes. Shanden is 5-foot-5, 130 pounds, with a tan complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately or Hawaiʻi Police Department Officer Derek Toloumu on the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
