Two Honoka‘a men are facing theft charges after reportedly stealing a bag of oranges from a farm over the weekend.

Kellen Tolentino, 41, and Joshua Reding-Kellogg, 38, allegedly stole the 75-pound bag of fruit from a Kalopa farm on Sept. 2. Bail was set at $2,250.

Tolentino and Reding-Kellogg were granted supervised release during their initial appearances in Hilo District Court Tuesday, over the prosecuting attorney’s objections. Preliminary hearings were scheduled for Sept. 19 in South Kohala District Court.
