7.1 magnitude earthquake in Sea of Bali; no tsunami threat to Hawai‘i

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has reported a 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred at approximately 9:56 a.m. HST in the Sea of Bali in the South Pacific.

The U.S. Geological Center has since report the quake to be a 7.1 tumbler.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center confirms there is no tsunami threat to the Island and State of Hawai‘i.
