Kagiwada will reflect on her experiences during her first nine months in office, lessons learned — and still being learned — as well as her priorities for District 2 and the county as a whole.  She will also discuss her ideas about helping young folks become engaged in civic duties such as voting.

Kagiwada chairs the Policy Committee on Health, Safety and Well-Being and is Vice-Chair for the Communications, Reports and Council Oversight Committee. The councilwoman was the Hawai‘i Island Coordinator for Womenʻs March for four years and has a strong background fighting for womenʻs rights, working families and childrenʻs issues.
