American Idol winner Iam Tongi stopped by the Kings’ Shops in Waikōloa on Wednesday , with his mother Lillie, to enjoy one of their favorite treats from the Original Big Island Shave Ice Company.
Store owners Reggie and Kim Ignacio and their son Kayah, the store manager, said the surprise was arranged by family friend Jimmy Tuifua.
While he was there, Tongi posed with excited customers and employees. Everyone was thrilled to see in person the celebrity who Ignacio called a “gentle giant, humble, sincere, and full of aloha.”
