Update: Sisters 13 and 16 were found safe on Big Island
Update: Sisters Raisha and Rashanti Mcnamara were found Monday in Keaʻau in good health, according to the Hawaiʻi Island police.
Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-ol Raisha Mcnamara and 16-year-old Rashanti Mcnamara, who were reported as runaways. Raisha Mcnamara is considered endangered due to her age.
They both were last seen on Sunday at 7 p.m. on Kahakai Boulevard near the intersection of Akule Street in Pāhoa.
Raisha Mcnamara was wearing blue jeans, black shirt and a dark jacket, and was carrying a backpack. She is 5 feet 1 and 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a tan complexion.
Rashaniti Mcnamara was wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket, and was carrying a maroon backpack. She is 5 feet 2 and 130 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a tan complexion.
Police ask anyone with information about the Mcnamara’s whereabouts to call Officer Chase Rasse at the police department’s non-emergency number at 808-935-3311 or 911 immediately.
