On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in a Nissan pickup truck on Kamehameha Avenue and Haili Street in Downtown Hilo.
Hawaiʻi Fire Department crews were on the scene to extinguish it. According to fire officials, the fire started in the engine compartment and was confined to the vehicle.
It is not known if anyone was in the vehicle at the time the fire broke out, however, fire officials say no injuries were reported. More information will be provided when available.
