Update: Daniel K. Inoye Highway has reopened following a traffic accident.
Original post: The Hawaii Police Department advises motorists to avoid Daniel K. Inouye Highway due to a current traffic issue.
A vehicle crash has closed the roadway between the 8 to 9 mile marker and will require a detour through Kaumana Drive until about 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
