Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for June 17-23. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALOHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

KEA‘AU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 7 and 9 between Kea‘au Loop and Volcano Road on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PĀHALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 54 and 56, between Hilea Road and Kalaiki Road on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 90 and 92, in the vicinity of Hawaii Belt Road on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

PAPAIKOU

Single lane closure possible in either direction at Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) and Old Māmalahoa Highway on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the installation of a raised crosswalk

Shoulder closure in both directions at Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) and Alakahi Place on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of a temperature sensor.

NINOLE (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 20 and 22, in the vicinity of Kaihuiki Road on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HONOKA‘A

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction at Kalopa Road on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. HECO will be replacing substandard utility poles and restringing overhead lines.

CAPTAIN COOK

Sidewalk closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11), at MTA West Hawai‘i Bus Stop and Arthur L. Greenwell Park on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for A.D.A. improvements.

KEALAKEKUA

Sidewalk closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11), at MTA West Hawaii Bus Stop and Konawaena Elementary School on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for A.D.A. improvements

KAMUELA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kawaihae Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 64 and 68, between Waiemi Place and Mahiole Way Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting with excavator behind guardrails.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route250) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 11, in the vicinity of Kohala Ranch Road on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for resurfacing and reconstruction of a weakened shoulder.

— PĀHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

PĀHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 11, between Niaulani Street and Pāhoa Bypass Road, on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for guardrail vegetation removal.

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 11, at the intersection of Pāhoa Bypass Road and Post Office Road, on Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for installation of a raised crosswalk.

— MĀMALOHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction at mile marker 33, between Hawai‘i Belt Road and Loloa Drive on Tuesday, June 20, through Friday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Department of Water Supply utility work.

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 17 and 26, in the vicinity of Pu‘u Lani Drive Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for safety improvements and installation of shoulder extension.
