The non-profit Hawaiʻi Floriculture and Nursery Association is presenting a one-hour
video entitled “Hawaiʻi Grown Flowers & Plants” on Hawaiʻi Island’s cable TV and online at NaLeo.tv.

This educational video consists of highlights of floral design presentations, workshops, a design competition, farm tours and a forum with breeders and growers of flower and plants.

Thirteen professional floral designers, including Hitomi Gilliam, create beautiful floral designs for weddings with Hawaiʻi grown flowers, foliage and plants.

In Hawai’i there are many family-owned farms, nurseries and businesses that grow and process flowers and ornamental plants. They are a major part of Hawaiʻi’s economy. Purchasing locally grown flowers and plants also helps protect the environment by reducing imports that sometimes carry invasive species.

The one-hour video, “Hawaiʻi Grown Flowers & Plants,” will be shown on Na Leo TV- Spectrum
Cable Channel 54 and online on Na Leo TV’s website: NaLeo.tv (click on “Watch” and select “Channel 54“).
