3 arrested following warrant sweep in East Hawai‘i

An interagency warrant sweep conducted in the Hilo and Puna districts on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of three individuals wanted for a total of four outstanding warrants.

Conducted by officers from the Hawai‘i Police Department’s Community Policing Section and Special Enforcement Unit, Department of Public Safety Sheriff Division, and the Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement, the warrant sweep arrested individuals wanted for offenses ranging from contempt, probation violation, and probation no bail, to warrant of arrest.

The adult individuals arrested are:

  • Kennedy Wilson, age 28
  • Luwika Hauanio, age 30
  • Isaiah Smith, age 20

Police ask anyone with any information relative to the whereabouts of other wanted fugitives to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
