Injured California hiker rescued from Kalalau Trail along Nā Pali Coast on Kauaʻi

On Thursday, first responders rescued an injured 32-year-old California hiker from the popular Kalalau Trail along the Nā Pali Coast.
At about 3:50 p.m. on March 30, the Kaua‘i Fire Department’s rescue helicopter Air 1 arrived at a landing zone on Kalalau Beach to pick up the hiker who had an injured knee.
He was transported to Princeville Airport where American Medical Response personnel were waiting. The hiker declined medical treatment and was released on scene.
