Updated at 9 a.m. on March 17: Daniel K. Inouye Highway is now open.
Original post: There is a partial road closure of Daniel K. Inouye Highway near the 47 mile marker due to a crash, the Hawaiʻi Island police reported at 6:49 a.m. on Friday.
One lane is open. Emergency responders are on the scene.
Expect delays. A detour is available through Old Saddle Road.
