Ocean View well offline, in need of emergency repairs

The Hawaiian Ocean View Estates well in Ocean View, Ka‘ū is offline.
The Department of Water Supply is contracting emergency work to troubleshoot and repair the well as quickly as possible. Due to this breakdown, the following are in effect:
- The drinking water spigots remain open for community access. While water spigots remain open for general community access, users are asked to limit their consumption to potable needs only. Your cooperation extends current water availability in the reservoir.
- The standpipe facility for water haulers is closed until repairs can be completed.
